We are very pleased to announce our RSD 2022 special guest lineup. This year we have our good friend and Radio DJ and author Stuart Coupe joining us for the 4th time on RSD. The last time we celebrated in a big way was in April 2019 and we are very happy will be here to be our voice of what’s what in music at the moment.
Next up we have Lozz Benson working with us as she has become casual staff as she has such talent and music knowledge that we couldn’t help offer her a casual job in between her already busy rehearsing and gigging schedule. She is a local multi-instrumentalist and will be presenting songs on the Autoharp for Record Store Day at RPM to promote her upcoming “Women of Country” Show at The Vanguard on May 6th. Lozz has toured and worked as a drummer with The John Butler Trio, Paul Kelly, Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil), Mahalia Barnes, Keith Urban, The Wiggles and is currently on tour with Kate Ceberano. You may have even seen her on the TV show The Voice, burning up the screen with her drum solo and gorgeous red hair, secretly she was my favourite of the group for sure so we were pretty happy when we got to know her and she has agreed to support the RSD cause at her local.
Now to round out the day we have none other than TEX PERKINS and the FAT RUBBER BAND flying in from Melbourne so they can do their gig UNCAGED at the Hordern Pavilion later that night. We are so excited they are coming straight from the airport to the shop for a quick visit to sign his newest album that we sold out of the black ones, but his manager just dropped off the RED vinyl version so we have that exclusively in stock now and they will bring plenty to sell and sign on the day. We also of course have stock of his other merch like CD’s of the new album, T-shirts and his book from a few years ago, it’s a great read with a lot of funny stories of his adventures in it. He’s not here for a long time but pretty sure, it will be a good time so come help us celebrate with these great guests who all are supporting us to stay your local record shop in Marrickville.
